Welcome Back, Vaughn Families!

I hope you've had a great summer! I’m thrilled to welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year and to share how excited I am to be entering my second year as the proud principal of Vaughn Elementary. What a great place to serve kids and families!

Over the past year, it’s been wonderful getting to know our students, families and community members. Now that I’ve had time to get grounded in our school’s culture and values, I’m excited to take things to a deeper level by building stronger partnerships and creating even more opportunities for connection, growth and celebration.

If your family is new to Vaughn, I’d love to personally welcome you! Please feel free to stop by the office so I can introduce myself or find me during our upcoming Meet and Greet event. I’m always happy to say hello and help you get connected to our school. 

One of my favorite things to do throughout the year is showcase our students, not just for who they are in the classroom, but who they are as individuals. I encourage you to email me photos of your child’s hobbies, sports, weekend adventures, summer activities or anything that helps us celebrate our students outside of school. We’ll highlight these during our morning announcements so students can see the amazing things their classmates are doing beyond the school walls.

Please mark your calendars for our Meet and Greet event on Wednesday, August 27th from 5:00-6:00pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to connect with staff and ease into the new school year.

During the school year, our office hours are 8:00am-4:00pm. Beginning August 18th, our summer office hours will be 8:00am-3:30pm. Please don’t hesitate to call or stop by if you need anything as we get closer to the first day of school.
