Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We are thrilled to welcome our returning Huskies and extend a special greeting to the new students and families joining our school community.
As we begin a new year together, we look forward to creating meaningful learning experiences and helping every student grow academically, socially and emotionally. Our staff has been hard at work preparing for another amazing year and we can't wait to see our students!

If your family is new to Vaughn, I’d love to personally welcome you! Please feel free to stop by the office so I can introduce myself or find me during our upcoming Meet and Greet event. I’m always happy to say hello and help you get connected to our school.
One of my favorite things to do throughout the year is showcase our students, not just for who they are in the classroom, but who they are as individuals. I encourage you to email me photos of your child’s hobbies, sports, weekend adventures, summer activities or anything that helps us celebrate our students outside of school. We’ll highlight these during our morning announcements so students can see the amazing things their classmates are doing beyond the school walls.
Please mark your calendars for our Meet and Greet event on Tuesday, August 25th from 4:30-5:30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to connect with staff and ease into the new school year.
During the school year, our office hours are 8:00am-4:00pm. Beginning August 19th, our summer office hours will be 10:00am-12:00pm and 12:30-3:00pm. Please don’t hesitate to call or stop by if you need anything as we get closer to the first day of school.

- August 25 from 4:30-5:30pm – Meet and Greet
- September 2 – First Day of School (Grades 1 to 5) No late start
- September 8 – First Day of School (Kindergarten)

Peninsula School District will provide all necessary school supplies for students. Please see the list of provided supplies at the link below.
Families are only asked to provide a backpack, lunch box, headphones and a conplete change of clothes. Any extra or preferred supplies are welcome, but entirely optional.
