Key Peninsula News: Encouraging a Sense of Belonging at Vaughn Elementary School

Principal Abbie Barabe returned from winter break with a game-changer in mind. In addition to supporting the Peninsula School District goals for school improvement, as stated in the policy and strategic plans for the district, Barabe wanted to take some extra steps to improve the learning environment at Vaughn Elementary.

Kindergarten Readiness Parent Night is February 1 at Swift Water Elementary

Are you a parent or guardian of young children? Join preschool and district staff for Kindergarten Readiness Parent Night, on February 1, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Swift Water Elementary School, 10811 Harbor Hill Drive. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, learn about Kindergarten Readiness and the Peninsula School District Kindergarten registration processes.

Impact your child’s learning by completing the 2023-24 Federal Impact Aid survey

A quick survey that takes five minutes to fill out can generate thousands of dollars in funding for textbooks, materials, hiring staff and educators and more military student support. 

It’s the 2023-24 Federal Impact Aid form, and all parents who have children enrolled in the Peninsula School District received a Parent Square message inviting them to complete the survey. Please login to your Parent Square and fill out the form.
